A seminar had been conducted in K.L. Nagasamy College of Engineering & Technology. The seminar had covered the Research Area in Mobile Adhoc Networks. Our Chief Technical Executive Mr. K. Sundaresh sir had been honored for giving “Faculty Development Programme” about the NS2 issues.
Early morning at 8.30 AM our Chief Technical Mr. K. Sundaresh, Mr. T. Udhaya Shankar were got ready to go to college. We reached to college at sharply 9 AM. We are directed to the Seminar hall which had been fully furnished. The seminar hall is fully Air Cooled and systems are fully loaded with their respective software.
The Principal of KLN College had given the welcome speech and the HOD of ECE department had given the Intro Message and the lighting ceremony had been taken place. Principal, Department HOD, our CEO Mr.K. Sundaresh had enlighten the ceremony and the seminar session had been started successfully.
The seminar session starts at 11 AM with students and staffs from various colleges, Our CEO Mr. K. Sundaresh continued the technical seminar for about 3 hours. Since NS2 is not familiar to everyone, staffs and students eagerly observe the seminar.
The topics covered during seminar sessions are WLAN, Ad-hoc Network, MANET, Sensor Network, Mesh Network, WiMax and MobileIP. Not only the topics covered he explained about the simulators which have been used till now, the simulators that are available to simulate the expected results are NS/2, OPNET, OMNET++, QualNet, Glomosim, SSFNET, Jsim, PDNS, OpenWNS.
Staffs and students had given good feedbacks which encouraged us to conduct more seminars.The seminar had been taken for three categories they are Wired Model, Wireless Model, and MobileIP Model. Each model had been clearly explained and numbers of steps have been evaluated for implementing the models had been explained. After the seminar session over we had been invited for lunch provided in the college.
After lunch the practical session had started every staffs had been given an individual system so that preconfigured programs had been worked out. Staffs were asked to do some modifications over the program so that they would learn to code their own programs. The practical session finished at evening 5 PM.
